Miyuu Yamashita is a young golfer from Japan.
She played in a big golf event called the AIG Women’s Open.
It was held in Wales, UK in August 2025.
She turned 24 years old and won the tournament with a great score: 11 under par.
This was her first win in a major U.S. golf tour.

There is also an old story.
Her teacher, Tsuneyuki Nakajima, played in the same tournament in 1978.
On the 17th hole, his ball went into a small deep bunker.
He needed four shots to get out.
He lost his chance to win.
People now call that bunker “Tommy’s Bunker.”

Later, Nakajima taught young players.
He said, “Golf is a way of life” and “Balance is important.”
Yamashita learned many things from him and changed how she practiced.

She stayed calm and focused on the last day.
She made two long putts and won.
Nakajima was happy and proud.
Dreams can be passed from teacher to student.
